While your thoughts are just turning to the upcoming camping season, we have been very busy battling the tiresome red tape necessary to ensure a 2008 summer camping season at 100 Acre Woods Campground! Our additional wetlands permits and finally in place! While we are still waiting for some other minor permits, the biggest hurdle has been overcome!
But we are still battling with Mother Nature. While the overwhelming amount of snow we have received in the North Country has been a boon to the ski resorts, it has been a hindrance to us. We had hoped to get some work accomplished in December before winter really set in but as luck would have it, the snow started 2 weeks after we got our permits and it hasn't stopped!
We are diligently working toward a July 1st opening date. Our contractors are eagerly waiting to get started. We just need some sunshine to get all this snow melted and we’ll be on our way! Once that happens, this place will be a beehive of activity.
